Admissions
The primary purpose of St. John’s Lutheran School is to provide Christian education for the children of the congregation. Realizing our privilege and obligation to serve the entire community, students will be admitted on the basis of Christian attitudes, academic ability, health standards, deportment and available space.
St. John’s Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in its employment practices, in administration of its education policies, admissions, scholarship and loan programs and athletic and other school–administered programs.
All enrollment must be made through the principal. If doubt arises about any application, the principal will meet with the Board of Christian Education. Application forms and physical forms are available in the school office.
Parents are required to have a conference with the principal and/or teachers before the child enters the school. Admission of the child may depend on the conference and the attitude of the parents. A math and reading test will be administered to students for placement. There is a nominal charge for this screening test.
The first year of attendance at St. John’s School is considered a probation year. Termination, should it be necessary, can be at anytime during the year.
REGISTRATION
The registration of all children for the new school year will be held in January/February. All fees and charges should be paid at registration. The first tuition payment will be due in August.
