About Me

My teaching responsibilities include Kindergarten through 8th grade Computer, and 6th through 8th grade Religion.  This is my tenth year of teaching.  Prior to coming to St. John’s, I worked in a variety of occupations, including Television (production crew member, producer/director), and the Para-legal field.  I was also a Lead Systems Analyst, Systems Officer and Assistant Vice President at Wachovia Bank, where I worked for 11 years.  I earned a B.A. in Communication Arts (Video Production concentration) from James Madison University, and a B.S. in Information Systems of Management (Management Information Systems concentration) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where I graduated summa cum laude.  I am currently completing Lay Ministry Certification requirements for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod from Concordia University at Mequon.  I have an absolute passion for young people of all ages and consider teaching to be my most exciting and rewarding career opportunity to date.  I am very blessed to have the opportunity to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ on a daily basis with the students I am privileged to interact with.  I have been married to my wife, Jan, for 26 years.  We have two children.  I enjoy spending time with my family, playing guitar, listening to music, reading, watching and playing sports, traveling, and target shooting.
